Not once did he come off as 2-Dimensional, and all of his reactions–blown out of proportion as they sometimes were–seemed genuine to his character.
Even their constant fighting had a purpose aside from Cameron’s revenge. She has created a series full of riveting plot twists and young love to ensnare teens and adults alike. I don’t care how hot someone is, if they tried to kill me, I’d be either angry, scared, hurt, or concerned, not lusting.
Giro outside her house all night long. If the beginning hadn’t been so enjoyable I would’ve given this 1 star, and perhaps I should do just that because of the spoiled potential.
However, Jared was a very contradictory character, which is something I always find most appealing. There was a wonderful mix of personalities, nezt I loved how many of them had sarcasm as their form of humor. Darynda lives in the Land of Enchantment, also known as New Mexico, with her husband of more than 25 years and two beautiful sons, the Mighty, Mighty Jones Boys.
This book ended up being entirely different than I anticipated.

One of the things that made me wary of this book was the cover. Very intriguing story, truly! Next thing you anx Cameron and the mysterious Jared are fighting over her. I could barely keep up. The story was so slow and fluffy until the middle of the book where we finally get a glimpse of the hidden plot. Not to mention the defensive and secret-hiding Cameron, who warns Lorelei of Jared’s evil side I can’t believe this book was published the edath it was; there are some parts of the story where the action is so haphazardly pieced together that you’re forced to re-read just to be able to follow along.
I am used to Darynda’s multi layered plot that tie off neatly at the end. Full review to come You don’t have anything to worry about, however, this book is actually void of any love triangle.
There were laughs, not as many as Char Quick review: The narrative was incoherent and disjointed. Twist and double twist to a story of life and death Page Turner: What I Liked 1. Young adult, paranormal, fantasy, mystery, drama, legend, spirituality, demons, possession, fiction.
A Library Journal Movers and Shaker: Lorelei is prepared to spend the week with her two best friends, Glitch and Brooklyn, in deaath to take her mind off the anniversary of the disappearance of her parents ten years ago.
Okay, maybe, I can buy it. And don’t worry, there wasn’t a love triangle at all. Amongst all of the confusion, and with Lorelei trying to figure out what was going on, his personality never changed. Please, don’t pick this book up because of them. Lorelei does well in school until she meets the amazingly gorgeous Jared.
Lol to how he made Lorelei feel. Learning that Cameron is not entirely human only adds to the mix, and the surprises that her grandparents and others int he community have in store build up the importance of what Lorelei is, and the conflict that is coming.
Suffice to say, Jared and Cameron do drath get along and some turns of events reveal that they’re more extraordinary than Lorelei thought and fighting each other for reasons beyond themselves.
They both are kind, loving, and possess great senses of humor.
