Her behavior is off-the-wall crazy and she is power-hungry from the get-go. I had a terrible idea. Rachel is all impulse and anger and touchy and insecure and refuses to listen to any kind of wewkness then tries to quit with an Animorph captured. I knew what I was seeing. Yes there were issues and lots of other reviews have nailed them on the head so I won’t go there. Jake is away and for some reason Rachel is elected to be the leader. But when her troops try to question her decisions, Rachel becomes more aggressive and insists on more reckless wdakness, resulting in Anlmorphs getting captured wrakness the Yeerks in her polar bear morph.

You’ve successfully reported this review. Especially the way it ends, you can tell the ghost writer just did not give a shit– it was their way or the highway. This Rachel bullies her way into leadership, won’t listen to ani,orphs friends, and berates and insults them when they voice their worries.

Animorphs 1 – 10 of 54 books. It makes this book read like filler. Within months, Visser One has Earth firmly under her control, and controller-Ax feeds the Andalite command a rosy picture of reduced Yeerk activity, until it is too late. The Discovery Animorphs Jake is away, and the Animorphs elect Rachel as leader to take advantage of an unexpected opportunity to take down Visser Three. It seems very unlike Jake to leave town and not either appoint a leader or give any instructions.

It will be a polar bear morph that kills her after all, and during that fight, she was trying to concentrate on getting rid of the bear, while Jake kept whining about Tom and distracted her.

Rachel has the Animorphs attacking Controllers in broad daylight to discredit Visser Three.
