Simply put, there was no character development in this book. One of the first scenes in the book is Lissi having a birthday party, turning She was not the sort of woman a man forgot in a hurry with her long legs, curvaceous figure and long dark wavy hair. I expected a lot out of it because of all the high ratings it was given. Why does Lissianna and her mother get to be fully described as “beautiful creatures” and not Greg or anyone else for that matter?

I’ve been wanting to try the Argeneau series for such a long time now so when I was offered a review copy of A Quick Bite I was really excited and couldn’t wait to get started. This was a pretty good read for the first book in the series. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate.

Really liked the romance, but the beginning was painfully repetitive and slow. Life would have been a blink with you whether it lasted a millennium or a month. Thomas was annoying—I felt like Sands was trying to make him out to be some kind of hilarious flirt. Alex You could probably read the series out of order if you would like, but you won’t get all the references made about the books before it.

I think Sands was just writing it as she went along and had no idea how the story would end. Her quicck decides to take matters into her own hands and she kidnaps a psychologist who specialises in phobias so that he can help Lissianna get over her fears. Luciana had to be a pretty dim bulb to miss the identity of the bad guy! Maybe I’ll try a re-read in the future, but I have too many books on my TBR list to force myself to get through this.
